5/16 iso, need quick answer

i know it says the specific #in-lb to torque all the bolts but i couldnt get a in-lb torque wrench, but i was able to get 3 useless ft-lb wrenches that caused me to break a bolt that wasnt important. what i did was torque the bolts with a 1/4 ratchet until they were nicely snug n tight, but not too tight. i should be ok right? i ran my car a bit, the sound is AMAZING, but when i rev in place, the revs go down a little low causing a bit of shake then it idles normally again. is that something i should be worried or check around for?

also, just in case that i might have torqued the bolts a lbit too tight, what can i expect and when? (sorry if the question's unclear, but for example: "u can expect for the plenum to crack if u drive too hard" or something like that)

thanx

I tighten the screws by hand with a socket driver.
Then i use a socket wrench and turn it like 1/4 to finish tighten it up and that should be good enough for you.

I don't know if all Pep Boys do this, but the one by my house rents out equipment. So I rented from them an in/lb torque wrench. Its free, as long as you bring it back. You can also add thread lock to the bolts to help keep them tightened.
