Sorry if this has been asked before or if it's common knowledge, but, does the G35 A/C compressor automatically turn off during hard acceleration? If so, when does it shut down, at a particular RPM or under a certain load? I always turn my A/C off when I race 16 year olds in ricers or Mustangs at stop lights, but wonder if it's necessary. Thanks.

 

Not sure of exact rpm on G35 V6 but the Q45 [90-2001] shuts down at 60% load [throttle position] and or 4600 rpm.

How ever the engine ecu takes note of hot summer time conditions via an AC on signal [part of 3 tier OBD2 sensor back up strategy]
