Yeah maybe he has a baby D***, that could explain it. None the less it would be nice to put him in his place, espically with a V6. I got nothing against mustangs, but some of the owners are cocky *** SOB's.

Looks like I might have to wait till I go FI before I shut him up.

Per MotorTrend, stats for 2003 Mach 1
0-60 5.3sec
1/4mile 13.8@102.5mph

I don't see why you would get whooped. It seems like it would be close one, if you actually know how to drive. This is assuming he is stock

If you add test pipes and good engine management you might. 93 Octane and good driving skills should put u in mid 13's.

LOL... also remember the 2 basic principles of ricing... red = speed, yellow = performance, or was it the other way around? either way you get HP/TQ from stickers, didn't you know?

It's extremely doable - especialy for an MT...without Nitrous!

What's your budget? Do you have a baseline dyno of your car?

i would say to get the mrev and cats as your first mods and if u get slicks/radials, you could very well be into the 13's just on that. People undersestimate the effect of proper race tires, but they will make a bigger difference than anything else you do

I am trying to get my car on a dyno, but the nearest one is almost 45 min away. I know that 45min doesnt sound far but I have a very busy schedule and it can be hard to get out of town. I really havent decided on a budget yet. I dont want to spend a huge amount of money getting there. Maybe like 2,500 - 3,000, It depends what kind of bang for my buck I am getting.

Mach 1 32V .. I doubt it is stock, most of the Stang owners I know don't really keep it that way for long. If his car is modded with anything major like 4.10 gears you probably won't beat him.

If he is stock and you are having those mods you claim, I think some good shifting and grip could pull you the win. Of course, if its on the street.. ANYTHING can happen there
