The spacer...First, you will notice a difference in power. The Z-tube you will notice a difference in tone when you REV...You should get the MREV plus spacer...

it seems to be tradition to get the ztube + stillen/popcharger/k&n (etc) first but i would reccomend the spacer first...

just my two cents..

Get a true CAI, not the Z tube, it's a waste of $, I did that long ago and it sounded good, but felt little power increase, then I installed the CAI and man the engine just came to life... Get the spacer Kit of your choice, I chose the 5\8 for max gain on an 04.5 but I lost the engine cover; it will not fit after the spacer is added. The addition of the spacer allowed me to smoke by buddies 06 mustang GT from 40mph on when before the spacer he would slowly walk away from 40 on, so there was a big improvement, I could not tell you what the actual numbers in power increased are but what I can tell you is beating that GT over and over proved my 'butt dyno' was right on! Also, I can now get up to 28mpg when driving hiway, before it was about 26 and in town mpg has increased also.

Real world test, a friend has the Motordyne 1\2in spacer and AEM CAI, I have the Skunk2 5\8 spacer and AEM CAI... We cant find any noticable difference, but both agree the plenum spacer is a must, just choose one and go for it, the difference before and after is like night and day!

i dont know about skunk, but i know that Tony at Motordyne is a very helpful guy, and always puts the customer first. ive talked to him a few times, and not once did i feel rushed. i dont know if you care about that, but i figured id throw that in, as good customer service can help you out if youre ever in a tight spot.
