I say you keep the motor. In the case that you're fed up with the G and want to start a new project, I'm pretty sure you're going to want to sell it. And if you sell a G with the amount of miles that you're going to have with your stock motor, most likely you'll find a more interested buyer in the future. Keep your stock motor if you have room to store it.

the stock vq35 isnt going to make the power taht the rb26 can on stock internals. and tt isn't that unique. 330lb isnt going to make a difference if you have 700+ hp or whatever ridiculous amount the rb26 can put out. the only thing would be it being front heavy, but the v8 in the topsecret car probably makes that front heavy.

So what are you going to do when it comes to ABS, traction control, and stability control? All these systems operate off of the throttle by wire system. The RB26 is a cable throttle setup. I hope you've really thought this through because it's far from a simple swap. It sounds to me like you're just going by what the shop says. The truth is, they don't care if the setup can work without a bunch of bugs. All they care about is the money for the job. Your car will now require a full standalone ECU in order to make the motor run. Expect to shed out about $4-6K in the standalone, ECU, harness, etc. Plus a few K more for all the tuning the car will need. What about the tranny? The Asisn-Warner 6MT will not bolt to RB26. That means you'll have to source a different tranny along with having a custom driveshat made and tranny mounts. In the end, you're probably looking at $20-30K to make it all work to a degree. The engine is cheap. Mounting it in the car is easy. Everything else is hell.
You'd be better off buying a Z06 or a used 03/04 Cobra with a Kennybell blower and calling it a day. Chances are both cars would be much quicker and would actually be reliable.

Dont let anyone talk you out of it. The weight distro will be off but you can help correct the handling with suspension tweaks. As for traction control and all that other stuff most of that can be worked out pretty easily. If you use something like the Fcon Vpro then you will loose VDC anyways.

Seriously most people don't realize what they're doing til its too late with a swap like this, the fab work, ecu and wiring work is going to set you back a LOT of money, not to mention that if not done by a shop who REALLY knows what they're doing your reliability is going right out the window. I suggest if you don't have $50k just to blow on your car you do something else like the Twin Turbo and Built motor

Plus you want a GT-R right now, that would pretty much give it to you. putting the RB in a Z or G is a pretty standard project, so if exotic is what you are looking for you can pretty much forget about it. If you are just looking for another nissan motor that is built stock for boosting you would be better off just going for the SR20. It's cheaper; easier to find; it holds the record for the most hp on a stock bottom end; and it is much lighter than the RB.

A 3.5 liter V6 may sound like it's a relatively large sized engine, but in reality, it is 30 cm shorter than the RB26. The VQ engine was 150 kg (330lbs) lighter

I find it hard to believe that the RB26 weighs 330lbs more than the VQ35. Doesn't the VQ35 weigh in the neighborhood of around 300-330lbs? That would meansthe RB26 weighs 630+lbs? I think not. It's not a diesel motor Case in point, the VE30 had an iron block (like the RB26) and it weighed about 80lbs more than the VQ30. With an intercooler, I can't see how a RB26 would weigh anymore than about 100-120lbs more than the VQ35.
