Save em and take it to the dealer....maybe you can get a new motor if it turns out to be your bearings. If you're heavily modded, you might be SOL.

Metal shavings? OOoOHHHhH Damnnn, i think you might be running metal against metal and most likely is the bearings, same thing happened to my F-150. Better return to stock ASAP and take the car to the dealer and if they repair it, you need to re-evalute what mods you have and what they are doing to the engine....30K miles is wayyyy to early to be having those type of problems....keep us updated!

Very strange. If it's bad enough to see chunks of metal, you should have been hearing unusual things under the hood. Especially upon startup.
Any low clunk or knock that repeats every half second or so when you start in the morning? Ever overheat or have the oil light come on? Did you notice this upon draining it or was it on the dipstick or something? If upon drain, cut open the oil filter and see what is in there. That will tell you a lot.

Rod and main bearings have a high amount of tin in them. Bronze metal in the oil would make me think of the thrust plates, washers behind the cam sprockets. If the camshafts are walking around in the block this would be the cause. Still very scary finding metal in the oil. You could find that in the transmission very easy.
