What mods with $2000 budget?

I'll be picking up my 2007 G35 6mt next week. I'm looking into putting in an additional $2k. What do you all suggest?

1) HKS Exhaust, Mrev +spacer, Stillen CAI

2) Stillen CAI, Crawford Cats, Mrev + spacer + pocket change

3) save for rims

4) Get a body kit for about 2000, and save some money to paint it/install

personally id get the 1st option, and save some cash and get HFC's also.

Definitely save up for some wheels. If you are looking for basic bolt ons for now, Id consider the JWT Popcharger with the OEM Z tube and the Motordyne MREV2 and 5/16 plenum spacer. www.mynismo.com

Since there's no aftermarket equipment yet available for the HR engine I'd save the money. There is one chance to spend some if you must. Measure the air filter elements and see if K&N has hi flow replacements.

Coupe has VQ, sedan has HR....So i guess depending on what you bought. If it is a coupe I would say, save up buy rims and springs. That makes a huge difference on how the car looks like.

I'm really not all that interested in getting new wheels. The stock 18's look perfectly fine with me. Plus, I'm trying to avoid that "rice car" look. Sorry, no offense.

6MT Coupe
I'd invest that money in some coil-overs. Big difference in handling even compared with my oem sport pckg set-up.

In this order exactly ....

1. Drop
2. Wheels

If you dont want to be a "ricer" dont buy cheap wheels... or to cut costs buy the 19" OEM Ray's wheels off of the coupe and sell you stockers.. dont forget a good suspension setup ie. TEIN

Sent an email to K&N. They said they currently have no plans for making a filter for the HR. See post: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v36-2007-08/130329-disappointing-message-k-n.html.

Will probably be a few months before we start seeing parts for the HR.

Only parts I've seen so far are on Stillen's website. Brake pads and grills.

Suspension, i.c.e (in car entertainment ie. NavTV2Go conversion and a nice sub/amp install) would be first on my list then save a few more bucks for some nice wheels. Pimpin you've got an 07 now do it up nicely.

i was going to recommend Hks Hi power exhaust, Stillen CAI, ARC front strut bar and stillen sways, but since you consider rims to be rice i doubt you'll like the

Hks or the noise from the stillen cai... So i say Fast Intentions exhaust, k&n drop in filter w/ z-tube, ARC front strut bar and stillen sways if you have money left over...
