For those of you a little iffy on sending me money...there is more than one person on this board who knows where I live [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

however, according to the Forums rules on group buys:

Rule #3 is a little surprising. I realize that G35driver is trying to protect the sponsors who make this forum possible, and that the rules are an accomodation to forum members, but after seeing how quickly people cried "Thief!" when the Borla group buy was delayed, there's not a chance in hell I personally would organize one of these things and stick my neck out there by taking in their money. Any glitch and someone could call my employer (thanks to giving them my contact information), who will wonder why I'm spending so much time on the internet. Another thing to consider is that the law is much more protective of consumers who purchase from people who hold themselves out as merchants, as opposed to person-to-person sales. The line is a bit blurry here, but Ted may have to go to bat on behalf of anyone who has a problem with the vendor, which isn't cool for anyone. Even if you fully trust the vendor, something could get screwed up in the shipping process. Or the hose is defective (or the buyer installs it improperly) and the G blows up. The manufacturer is way off in the UK, and the vendor isn't going to want to have anything to do with it. I don't think you'd ever get stuck with the bill, but in the meantime it could be a huge headache for you. Just something to think about.

Finally, Ted, make sure that Paypal doesn't also charge a fee for credit card refunds if for some reason this fell through, or you're going to be on the hook for that. I hope I'm not scaring you with all the ways you can get "hosed" on this. That's not my intent. I do want my pretentious purple hose, which I wouldn't have bought at full price. But I don't think this rule is in anyone's best interest.
