Light above the temp gauge?

Has an exclamation mark on it...tried to look in the manual and nothing really resembles it. Anyone have a clue what it is? It popped on last night and my car beeped like mad.

More likely it's a warning that you were overheating and trying to get your attention.

Re: Light above the temp gauge?

there are the following lights on the combo meter: abs, srs, vdc, slip, oil, cruise, cruise set, high beam, windshield washer, battery, turn indicators, seat belt, trunk/door, brake, ("!"), AT check, low fuel, MIL light, and coolant temperature.

sounds like that is the coolant temp.

BTW, the esm says if there is a malfunction to change the coolant and the engine oil. IF it turns out to be a problem under warranty, make sure the dealer does the above changes per the ESM

It means low tire pressure.

Yeah, it's the low tire pressure indicator. That thing lighted up the first time I drove it home! I seems to light up when driving long distances. I just got back from Vegas and it was lit the entire way. and I even stopped to measure the pressure it was at 40 PSI! That's not low at all!!! There's something wrong with it! I remember seeing some posts about it. But I'm looking for it right now as we speak, becuase it was annoying when I was driving.

Re: Light above the temp gauge?

Yeh the tire psi light was added in 2004. The first time it came on for me , it beeped a few time and startled the crap out of me, took a minute or two , staring at the little "tire cross-section" symbol to figure out it was tire psi. I must admit its a little lame on a "luxo" class car, not even getting info as to which tire is low? and what psi. The Z does provide this info, strange the G does not.
