Put a spacer on the between the gas pedal and the floor so you can't go WOT.

Since the O2 system tries to maintain a 14.7 AF ratio to optimize CATS......the only way to improve MPG is to reduce the air flow into engine.......either by keeping throttle closed or using the lowest rpm possible.

Buying the highest BTU per gallon gasoline is an often overlooked factor, as ethanolized gasoline will always reduce MPG by 3% minimum [usually closer to 5% because it fools O2 system into calling for a richer mixture due to the extra oxygen already in the ethanol].

Calculate/measure the exact volume of oxygen [in ethanol] in the fuel to calculate the exact amount of O2 error.

Calculate/measure the ethanolized BTU per gallon vs non ethanolized to get the % of lower power output.

Modern post 2002 wideband O2 are very accurate compared to 1996-2001 heated narrow band just switching units.

Gasoline varies day by day in refinery output and degrades from refinery specs every mile thru the pipe line and thru local storage and transport to service stations.

ATL is 4 days thru the pipeline from refineries and usually another 3-5 days until it's in my tank 7-9 days old at best.

Gasoline made for ethanol blending varies significantly in exact composition since the ratios of the 250+ chemical components are hard to blend exactly batch to batch. The computers only sample about 10 [5%] of components.
