Q: Temperature Display: Celsius vs Fahrenheit

Does anyone know how to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit in the temperature display (ambient and cabin)?

I recently drove in below freezing temperature and I think it kinda sucks that our car doesn't warn us about that. Availability of a Celsius display would have helped.

bsoo, I haven't had time to get into it yet but you can engage a diagnostic mode by turning on the ignition and within 10 seconds, push the OFF button of the HAVC controls. You will then see all the upper stack display light up including celcius and fahranheit options.
I don't think you can mess things up so play around with it. You may find a temp display choice.
The ESM explains that the battery voltage must be at least 12 volts, and that starting the engine to perform this diagnostic is recommended. Have fun.

Re: Q: Temperature Display: Celsius vs Fahrenheit

I looked at the diagnostic section of ESM (thanks for pointing it out) but there was no information on how to switch between C & F (though both units would light up).

Any further help would be appreciated.

Re: Q: Temperature Display: Celsius vs Fahrenheit

could you clarify the procedure for the diagnostic mode?
I repeatedly try to turn on my engine and press the off button...
nothing happened...

You have to press and hold the Off button for 5 seconds. By the way if you don't have the ESM manual to follow I suggest you not to mess with it coz it can change certain settings.

bsoo: Not sure on the diagnostic mode yet. When I get some time, I'll 'play' with it some more and post results.

lilteyang: Just turn on the engine and then push (and hold) the off button within 10 seconds of starting. After a few seconds of holding the off button, it engages the diag. mode and you'll see the corresponding display on the upper pod.
