Z tube / Popcharger install =)

Man I've seen numerous people post about how happy they were after they installed their z tube/popcharger combo. Well now I'm one of them!

I was so surprised when I did the install and took out the factory filter. Heres what I found :

I started driving the g and i was like Amazing! can't wait to get the midpipe.

For anyone that still hasn't gotten this combo I suggest you do it you'll love everything about it.

Wow that filter is nasty. I wonder if that was ever changed.
Time to watch your car breathe better.

I would do an ecu reset too.

Is this mod worth it if you dont get exaust, headers etc...

Of course its still worth it!! If you can get cold air into your engine that means better IAT's which equals more hp. BTW you're also getting rid of an restrictive elbow and filter.

The benefit of the exhaust system is to help relieve the back pressure in the system and make more efficient power.

^^^ This site is corrupting me. I told myself I wasnt going to do anything to this car. I just bought Sport shocks and coupe springs. I'm lowering it soon. I'm about to buy rims down the road and now this. Looks like this will be my next mod. Its a drug.

^ I know right. I end up spending all my money on my car. But it's worth it though. Oh and the guy I purchased it from wanted to keep the heatshield so I don't have one. Im thinking about converting the stock airbox and putting it around the filter.

I don't think it was replaced either. So i'm guessing theres 60k on that filter

one thing to think about is removing that screen on the maf. i am not sure when the change was made but the 06s do not have that. i know it was mainly thought to act a screen to catch some debris and also to smooth the airflow but they must have removed it for a reason. anyone with an 05 that can confirm theirs does not have the maf screen?
