The 0-40 Mobil seems interesting as it seems to flow more like a 30 w. Also the Penzoil platnium seems good. It was about $20.xx for a 5 qt jug. I think that was the normal price.

As for no remaining stock of German Castrol, I just picked up 10 qts at my local Autozone. They had at least 15 more on the shelf, and the other AZ in my town has just as many left. I posted a thread asking if anybody wanted me to pick some up for them a couple of weeks ago.

They are all out in the PNW area at all the autozones I checked, and a majority of the people at BITOG have reported similar results around the country. If you still have some left at your local AZ, pick it up now!
No data available from Castrol for the standard industry test results for their oils TBN, Viscosity Index, HT/HS, Noack Volatility, etc. Castrol claims this information, (that demonstrates the true performance of their products), is, "proprietary". Interesting, when virtually every motor oil company in the world will gladly provide this information! 
Get the rest of the old stock AMSOIL TSO 0w-30 also while you are at it if your local stores sell it!
I agree with you that the AMSOIL 0W-30 is a superior product, but why would you specifically recommend, "old stock"?
