my dang check engine light wont go away! ERRRRR... WTF?

the code is p.0031 and p.0051 or whateve, the code reader says BOTH front sensors... Bank 1 sensor 1, and bank 2 sensor 1, heated o2 sensors LOW.

I replaced the sensors and it says same fricken damnm thing, this ticks me off cuz that was a couple hundred down the drain

i cant figure out what is wrong, i did the test pipe non fouler awhile ago to try and fix it, and tonight i tried doing it to the front o2's to see if it helped, i gotta reset it and see.

I dont know what else to do though, what could it be!!!???

it happened like 3 days after i installed my JWT popcharger and Z-tube, but before my kinetix V+ plenum.

WTF i need help! Someone told me that since the code reader says sensor 1 bank one "LOW" that it means im running LEAN?

help anyone!

could it be how my MAF is mouted?? I had to turn it veritcal so that it would fit better.. before it was more horizontal.. heres a pic of how mines mounted

see its vertical, before it was mounted 90 degreedto the right... could that be it!?

so are you just showing me an easy way to reset it, or is that what will fix my problem?

might sound dumb, but did you try and unplug the battery for 12 hours- aka reset the ECU??

If they are still on there, you need to remove the no-foulers from the front O2 sensors NOW. That will totally screw up your mix and will not solve your problem. Only the back O2 throw a light.

You may have either fouled your MAF with oil, damaged it, or have a loose connection to it, or you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check all your connections including the PCV hose underneath the Z-Tube. Your ECU is telling you that the mix is lean, meaning more O2 in the exhaust than the MAF is detecting for flow.

ok hey thanks, im gonna check it out tomorrow since I have the day off. So how can I tell if the MAF is bad? And how do I know if I have a vaccum leak? Is it bad to drive around with it like that?

If you are running cats, you should not use 02 sensor anti-foulers. And under no circumstances should you run upstream anti foulers. Based on the mods you listed, and assuming you are running cats, you should not have any CEL's at all. The orientation of your MAF sensor is fine. You can check the MAF sensor for resistance, but normally, you will trigger a MAF code if your MAF is bad, or unplugged.

i removed the upstream antifoulers but left the downstream ones, i thought it was the test pipes the first time so thats why i put the antifoulers in the test pipes, but didnt help but im leaving them anyways

ok i have, kinetix plenum (code was on before this mod) but the code came on after 2500 miles of having my megan test pipes on, and then like 50-100 miles after my install of the JWT popcharger, and Z-tube..

today i took off the Z-tube and put on the stocker to see if itd work, i had the code reset and after 5+ miles of driving the light came on again.. .

so the z-tubve isnt the problem, and i also searched for vaccum leaks and stuff and all looked great, the car seems to idle and run EXCELLANt except the annoying light! im gonn change just the pop charger to stock now and see if that fixes it... ive serioulsy ran outta options.

this is really freaking me out now though because nothing i try is working.. oh and i forgot to mention its not JUST the front o2's that are reading bad... ITS EVERY FRICKIN SINGLE ONE!!! bank 1 sensor 1, bank 1 sensor 2, bank 2 sensor 1, and bank 2 sensor 2.... EVERYONE shows up on the scanner, and says LOW after the code meaning im running lean. at first I thought it was just the front o2's but i wasnt readin everything the scanner said.. but now i know its every sensor

WTF? Ive heard things from autp store people saying it could be bad MAF, bad injector(s), vaccum leak, not enough fuel (fuel pump)?, etc... the car only has fricken 35000 miles on it but its an 03 so its 4 months outta warranty!

Typically when both sensors are triggered it has nothing to do with the sensors themselves. I see you have an upper plenum on there are you sure theres no vacuum leaks? Im emissions certified up here in the great state of WA and most of the time thats the cause of most the cars that come in with the same problem your having. Just curious... you never dropped the MAF or messed with that did you? That also could make the engine run lean...Just my two cents.

With test pipes and no visible vacuum leaks or MAF damage, the only other thing I can think of is that you didnt do the no-fouler install right. You used 2 per side (one screwed into the other) right? Just screwing the O2 sensor into 1 no-fouler wont work.

yes i used 2 per side... i figured it out though guys, thanks for your help!

It turned out that the guy that installed my guages tapped into the wrong FRUCKWN fuse.... (he uesed fuse tappers where you can use the factory slot but run two items off of it) and yea the fuse blew!!! GRRRRRRR I was pissed cuz i spent 50 bucks for a guy to tell me the fuse was blown, plus 150ish for an o2 sensor that i put in to see if it fixed one! oh well im just glad it wasnt the maf, or something more!
