Unorthodox crank pulley
Re: Unorthodox crank pulley
I just read the article in March's Turbo & High-Tech Performance. UR pulleys on a 350z with Invidia Exhaust, AEM CAI, Hyper-Grounds. Weight savings total 5lb.8.2 oz from stock for entire set.
Resulted in a 6.1 hp increase at peak, and 9hp @ 5500 rpm!
Not bad!

Re: Unorthodox crank pulley
Coz_Czp , That's encouraging bro. I've done pulleys b4 but not on Japanese cars, just on american V8's with lots of room to work. I agree it should come off easy, and I've got lots of tools, so it should go smoothly. If it meant taking out the rad to get to the pulley, then I'd just go ahead and do it......TNX.
Gordgee, That's a similar result that I've read on the VQ. Should be a decent mod, without any fuss or bother with a little gain in power, and a reduction in accessory speed (ware and tear).
I'm looking forward to getting at it. It should be fun and productive.......

Re: Unorthodox crank pulley
For Some superchargers, they don't recommend to use the crank pulley, especially for maximas. Not a good setup, actually I've never seen a decent supercharger setup on a Nissan, except Xterras (which were factory built). Too many problems with bolt on superchargers, don't do it
