ASP Crank Pulley!!!

I am currently talking to ASP racing about making a crank pulley for our VQ35's. I think for their pulleys, they use harmonic dampners, even though we probably dont need it, but some have expressed concerns about that. And they make em in the USA. Very high quality stuff. I guess, im just informing you guys and trying to guage interest for them.

i think some competition in the market cant hurt right.

Re: ASP Crank Pulley!!!

I will be the VERY FIRST to put down my monry for this - if it's light and harmonically dampened (and not an underdriving pulley) - I'm in!!!

I have been waiting for this for a long time.

Re: ASP Crank Pulley!!!

I'm not sure if your engines use a harmonic dampener, but I know on the 240s, the ASP pulley has been dynoed to give about 8hp at the wheels. Give or take 2hp on various cars. Very good product. 240s don't use a harmonic dampener on the pulley, so it's not a big deal to us. If they made one correctly for the VQ engines, I would estimate 10hp plus at the wheels.

Re: ASP Crank Pulley!!!

are the UR's underdriven? if i remember correctly thats no right? if you guys have any input or requests for the design of the new pulley set, post it here and i will try to pursuade ASP to make them that way. also, i asked them which pulleys they would make, and they said only the crank pulley. that means no acceesorry pulleys, which are underdriven.

Re: ASP Crank Pulley!!!

The UR pulleys are MOST DEFINITELY underdriven. That's why they are called "UR Underdrive Pulleys", i believe.

I know that UR stands for Unorthodox Racing, but the full name is UR Underdrive Pulleys
