It is not silly for the kid, because his mommy is paying for it.

Full bolt-on + tune should do the trick well agaisnt the IS350 & S4 easily as long as its properly driven. But I'll agree with you on the 335i part. Only FI or NOSSSSSS will do the trick

my good friend ive known for a while from racing dsm's (mitsubishi turbo AWD's) has a 335i, 6spd, stock. and we ran from a 2nd gear pull. it was dead even until mid 5th gear when he pulled me by a half a car. he was shocked. I have jw intake. 5/16th spacer. and stillen TD exhaust. he nor I, are bad drivers, by far.

I want to claim that my car as it is now will do 0-60 in 5 - 5.2. I have no way of really measuring it, but i know i beat new body mustang GT's to 60 and they are rated at 5.5...

-Sean

EDIT: Also i can stick side by side with a m3 until my 2nd gear is over then they walk me. 2nd gear ends at about 60mph i think...

I can tell you what a typical full bolt-on G35 + tune would most likely be capable of in the 1/8 & 1/4 mile in ideal conditions. But I don't pay attention to 0-60's; only source I hear them from are magazines & manufactures

78.62 for me That was the same night I went against a 335i that was 81.73... Sorry guys, you aren't gonna catch a 335i off the line period, no matter what you do N/A. Not even the G37 will (even though a bunch of people that haven't even driven a G37 or raced a 335i think it can).

he's talking about a particular track... LACR it sux. 14.6 at that track is pretty good... not sure it's the best any 03-06 has done but the track has way high altitude and is almost always hot (however I think Vlad must have been there on a cool night to run 14.6).

buy a GTR. 0-6 in 3.5 seconds. 1/4 mile in 11.5 seconds.

Than tell all your friends to kiss your @ss

Okay cheaper alternative... buy a 35K G35 put 10K into JWT TT or Vortech with tune... you will spank the 335i and all the other cars mentioned in the comparos in this thread.

I think they are a little faster than 5.5.. I thought 6mt's run 5.5 anyways new mustang GTs run .3-.4 faster than us 0-60 1/4mile.

Reeling us back to the question at hand...bolt on's for faster 0-60 times

I don't have any hard numbers...just suggestions.

You can add some power with bolt-on's, but you need to be able to keep the tires from spinning at the start. Take for example my previous car, an EVO. 0-60 in sub 5 but on par with most other cars in the 1/4 mile. If I didn't get a good launch, I was hating it.

If you want to be able to launch well, you need a clutch that won't slip and you need tires that grip. Are you willing to put 295s in the rear?...or more? Are you willing to pony up the dough for softer rubber?

These are bolt-on's.

You definitely want to make the car breathe better, so bolting on an intake, plenum spacer, exhaust, Y-pipe, test-pipe will help in the top-end.

It's nice to be get something down to under 5 seconds, but it's not so good for your date/girlfriend/wife sitting next to you.

Good Luck!
