Low 5 sec 0-60 Bolt Ons

I have a stock 6spd G Coupe and I have friends with IS350, 335I, and S4. Their all stock as well but Im tired of being the last of the pack in terms of off the line races. I wan to know what bolt-ons will make the G more towards the low 5 sec to keep pace with these other cars. Before someone chimes in and says turbo or twins, etc, all I want are reasonably cheap bolt ons. What I had in mind was 5/16 spacer, hfc/testpipes, and true dual catback. Will this setup do the trick?

Thanks for any opinions.

I had Spacer/Lower Plenum/Pop Charger/Exhaust on my 06 6spd Coupe.. And No.. I was still far far away from catching up with 335I.. I don't know if there is any bolts on that can get you there.. If there is.. Probably it's gonna cost as much as getting TT.. Just get Stillen Supercharger.. The cheapest..

Motor Trend got a 5.8 sec out of a stock one. I assume you want to knock off a good .5-.7 sec off that time. I imagine with every bolt on + a reflash, your car might be capable of something close to that. But it ain't just the car bro, you need to be a pretty accomplished MT driver also. If not, forget it. You'll never do it na.

Bone stock the best 0-60 time a first generation G35 has gotten was 5.5 (Second generation: 5.2 as of today). But who cares about 0-60? Who really races 'till 60 mph? Even my 1/8th mile reaches 76 mph.

I can tell you what a typical full bolt-on G35 + tune would most likely be capable of in the 1/8 & 1/4 mile in ideal conditions. But I don't pay attention to 0-60's; only source I hear them from are magazines & manufactures

Thats not what I want to hear I was considering selling my G and getting a 335I and doing the Proced and exhaust along with a quaiffe diff and that will get me in the mid to low 4's.

This is how I look at it...New 335I 50k +2k procede +2k Exhaust + 2k Diff=56k
vs. G Coupe 35k (what I paid) + 8k for APS or Greddy TT + 2k Exhaust + 2k for supporting mods= 47k appx but with the 335I its brand new. decisions!

Here is suggestion: If u wanna beat ur friends, U have to go through 1 clutch and possibly 1 tranny to get the launch down. If u are able to get CL on them from the start u won't be in the back that much. The bottom line is learn how to drive.

I totally agree with you....no doubt. I usually never use that figure either but Im just using that as a reference. I should have restated that as 1/4mile. Thats what I normally use.

Yup....but I dont care how good of a driver you are you cant consistantly beat an AWD S4 or an auto IS350 for that matter. Its pretty brainless launching an S4 ( I drove it) turn of dsc and launch at near redline. As for the Lexus....floor it!!!!

335 and s4 are too fast to catch with bolt-ons. spacer, intake, hfc and exhaust will get you past the 350 though.

Forget about the 335 but S4 and IS350 are beatable cars. A lot of people overestimate S4s power. S4 is a high 13 car with 1.9, 2.0 6ft time. Mess up on the launch and it becomes a low 14 car. IS350 is actually faster than the S4.

Doesn't seem particually much faster than a well driven MT G35 coupe

IS 350 "Butter smooth" describes the IS 350's V-6 and, as you can gather from its 5.5-second 0-to-60 times, it's quicker than just quick

^IS350 with the traction fully off is a 5.1 second car. My friend who knows how to *** with the traction control he did 14.1 in palmdale (LACR). I busted my a$$ off minus the Osiris Mod and could not do anything better than 14.6 and 14.6 is the lowest anyone has gone with 03-06 G35 coupe or sedan on this forum.
