Who reprograms ECU (PCM)?
Re: Who reprograms ECU (PCM)?
Morelikey NISMO will not be the only one that will be making performance tuned ECUs for the G35SC. Its a Nissan V35 350GT Skyline, so expect more than just the NISMO chip coming out in the future. Maybe even Jim Wolf will be getting into the mix again with the 350Z/G35SC. Take note that there is more than one tuning chip manufacture for the 300ZXTT ie: Central20, Mine's, Blitz, Jim Wolf, ect ect
Some Japanese performance manufactures make better programs than the Racing Development branch of the parent company (TRD, NISMO, Mazdaspeed..)
But of course they push the engine to the max, lowing the lifespan of the engine, but that's all up to the buyer.

Some do, some don't. My Jim Wolf Chip in my Z did not void my warranty. When you want to upgrade your ECU, you buy the whole ECU unit, not just the chip, the whole unit.

True, it's not going to be cheap hehe. My friend's Mugen Type-R chip was about 1100! The chip didn't even do that much in HP ratings.
As for cars with turbos, chips are the best, goes hand in hand with boost controllers for them.
