recently ive been hearing this chattering sound coming from the lower middle of the engine and it was intermittently and didnt pay too much attention. i looked around made sure all bolts were tight and it went away for about a day. and then on the way to work this morning it became very very loud. like something was defineatly grinding. sorry i cant be more specific. has this ever happened to anyone?

EDIT: i also noticed the chattering sound would be much louder while accelerating but is still there at idle.
