Chips
Does anyone know if these really work at all? I find it funny that these people sell these to people, and the people that buy them say they feel great gains. If they do work, then I guess it isn't that funny.

I wouldn't use that if they were giving it away. Is that picture supposed to represent 2003 to 2007 sedans? That should tell you the story right there. But don't you think the engineers at Nissan can tune a stock G35 to the maximum potential that the stock engine has to offer? The only time you really can use a tune (chip) effectively is if you have made significant modifications to the stock setup. If you want to send 24 bucks to somebody, send it to me.

Hey, hey man. I didn't say I was gonna buy that thing. I was just curious if they worked or not. I wouldn't use it either, simply because I don't see how it could do anything.
My buddy has one is his Z and I tell him all the time that it isn't doing anything, if someone came on here and explained how it was helping, I was going to shut my mouth and stop busting his *****.
Thanks for the input.

Here's your ebay "chip"...
Basically, it's a resistor that replaces your intake sensor to make your ECU think it's always about 60 degrees outside, and therefore, advance the timing.
With that said, the timing on the VQ35 is advanced enough. IMO, this can be more harmful than good for our cars.
