Thumbs up What does "Rev-Up" engine mean as in the 2005-2007 G35 engines

Hey guys, im a g35 newb, tryign to learn more...

What does "rev up" mean when you guys are discussing the 05-07 g35? Also, how would i know the exact model of g35 i have?

I have an 05 Sedan, (Not Sport) Is there a way to tell?

03-04s both 6MT and Autos do not have the "rev-up" engine
03-06 autos dont have the "rev-up" engine
05-06 6MTs have rev-up engine

As far as the differences between the two u have to search. There is a thread that explains everything in detail

hmm i searched for "rev up" and "rev-up" found zero results.

Typically we use the term "6MT" and "5AT"

6 speed Manual Transmission

5 speed Automatic Transmission.

Later in the G37 era there was also a 7AT.

Ported Upper Plenum, Ported Lower Collector, and Ported Lower Manifold. Roughly 20hp more than non rev up.
