Revup Engine vs. Non revup

I know that the Revup engines in the 05+ 6mt's lost 10 torque but gained 18 Hp. I'm just wondering what did that. I know so far it was
1. "electronic exhaust valve timing control"
2. "revised pistons"
3. "higher lift and duration camshafts"
4. Lower plenum redesigned ( http://infinitipa.zoovy.com/product/14010-AC805 )

Q1. The newly designed lower plenum in the 05's are the same price as the older design, and i'm wondering if its worth it (performance wise) to get the new lower plenum for my 04.

Q2. Where can i get valve timing components from and are these worth it as well if money wasn't a factor?
