Anyone Running with Water Wetter?
Anyone Running with Water Wetter?
I bought it but can't bring myself to put her in. Seems our cars should run at 200 or so and that bringing the temps down won't do anything good. Comments???
Nissan Sport had a good write up where DaveB had witnessed several degrees downwards difference. If I towed or had FI, i wouldn't wait, but not sure it's gonna do much for me.
We sure could have used the stuff when we towed a 28 foot boat with our 1974 cutlass supreme in the summers in fla and the car would run hot and my dad would turn the heat on and turn the air off and you'd power down the windows and get a blast of heat and turnpike bugs.

Used to cool the cylinder heads by better heat transfer into coolant. Depending on conditions this may actually increase coolant temperature sensor reading a few degrees but this sensor is before radiator so hot coolant may actually increase rad effficiency.
Anyway a decent product that does more good than harm...........works especially well in summer with only 25% coolant and the rest distilled water.

I use it.
I use it at work in the diesels, not to reduces coolant temperatures but for the rust and corrosion protection. it really does help in that aspect, don't really know if it helps with cooling though?
Longevity is a good thing and I intend to keep my 03.5 for another 10 years. just rolled over 40k the other day. I guess I'll put it in based on the quality and consistency of the repsonses. I've never heard a bad thing. Twin Turbo folks must love this stuff. Sure beats upgrading the radiator and seems more effective, perhaps.
How long would a radiator last normally before corrosions clogs it????
I would have guessed that a typical concentration with prestone would contain enough anti-corrosive assistance. BTW I flushed mine for the first time in 5 years last fall and it was as clean as a whistle.
