DIY Grouding kit completed and installed. Pics

I made my own grounding kit from some instructions I found online, a company actually posted lengths needed exactly. I used 4 guage bright red audio wire from a local audio store; 2 dollars a foot. Copper connectors covered in black heat shrink wrap, heated over kitchen stove. I used pliers to bend and then a hammer and punch to attach copper connectors to 4 gauge ( a 4 gauge crimper is about $100 at the cheapest, this is a pretty secure fit and gets the job done.) Overall cost me $40 bucks, car runs a tiny smoother, and horn honks noticably louder when I push my remote button lock. I have a 6mt so I knew I wouldnt see a crazy differnce like the auto guys.

dude if you are going to post a DIY you need to post the actual DIY instructions, ie: length of each wire, connection points and how you connected.

It's very interesting but you didn't give any details.

He's not, read the original post. He followed another DIY; he's just showing off that he completed a DIY grounding kit (someone else's instructions), rather than buying one.

Good job OP!

haha yes i am basically tooting my own horn, but I did originally post a DIY on how to make this BUT it was following those instructions that I found online. I didnt take any pics of actually making or which wires to install where. Its really easy if you just look up my old DIY and google "how to crimp 4 gauge wire" and you can figure it out.

I never saw a any difference when I had the 10-wire kit on my 03 5AT therefore I took it off and sold it. No difference in shift speed, throttle response, etc.

was it Stillen?... I had Stillen and didn’t really notice anything... then sxexcx (Sean) installed his kit and I actually did notice a diff... could be the grounding points? could be the quality of wire?... but it was evident to me that different kits yield different results...

the difference is how comprehensive the grounding points are. The one you made is very limited.

looking at the pics, your kit only has 3 real grounding points.
