Talking Tapping noises after installing a new plenum, is this normal?

hey guys just wanted to know if anyone is hearing tapping noises after installing a new plenum. i just installed kinetix v and im getting a wierd noise that makes it sound like a diesel. any thoughts or help would be nice.

I know that stupid noise.. I havne't installed a plenum but I highly doubt that noise is normal.. Afterall, isn' the spacer just supposed to allow more air into the plenum? Why would it make a tapping noise?

Go back and check to see if everything is fine.

I would say that you dropped something in there.

There is not way it should tap like diesel after plenum installation.

thanks for the feed back . went back and checked all the bolts torqued the hell out of them.

i hoped you torqued them with a in lbs wrench and to the right specs...

from what it sounds like he didnt, hes lucky he didnt snap one off. I would have used thread locker on them, go back in a week or so and check the bolts. Its about 25 foot pounds or less not as hard as you can turn.

this is why i paid someone to install my plenum, even though it costs $, it's nice to have someone to blame and someone to fix it

^^ I'm sorry call me cheap, but I would never pay anybody to install a upper plenum for me.
It's so easy a caveman can do it.
