05 G35 Sedan Oil

I am getting ready to change the oil in my 05 for the first time, and was wondering if anyone knows how much oil to refill it with. I will be replacing the filter as well during this. In searching the threads, the best i can find is 5.25 qts. Is that correct? thanks for the help!

I assume you either bought the car used or this is the first time you did it as a DIY and it was changed regularly in the past, correct?

I'd like to add to what Beebo said above.. Put in 4.75 quarts first, wait a few minutes then check the oil level. Add oil as needed to bring the oil level up to the full line on the dip stick. You don't want to overfill.

What kind of oil are you planning to use? From what I've read, Mobil M1 0-40, Amsoil 5-30, and Castrol Syntec are among the best.
I had 5 quarts of Royal Purple and that was enough.
