Trying to fix my exhaust setup :(
I've searched all over , posted before..... and still confused
trying to fix my rasp problem.....i have the 2.75" strup (non resonated test pipes) into a Fujitsubo Performance Y-Pipe 2.75" into 1 3" outlet to a 3" midpipe with no resonator and now just stock exhaust
had rasp only on cold starts with no resonator but now with the test pipes i get it from 2,400 to 4,000rpms
not sure if i should through in a resonator or a bigger one, or just get hi flow cats or labree resonated test pipes

get rid of the test pipes. Look into a good set of HFC's the power difference between test pipes is minimal at best. There was only an average of 1.5 hP difference between when i had Z1 Test pipes and switching those to crawford HFC's, and the best part was no more smell!
keep the test pipes. i DONT know why people are saying all this noise bout 1.5hp i race a lot and noticed a HUGE DIFFERENCE in power gains with the test pipes i have no smell anymore . i have easily pulled bout 5 cars more ahead oppose to me having catalytic converters.
Now about your rasp sound test pipes are known to be raspy but not TOO LOUD make sure you have no exhaust leaks jack it up and check to see if all bolts are there.
Now bout exhaust set-up work from headers to the outlet of your exhaust you should always work from small to big for example like 2" to 2.25" to 2.5" to 3.0" etc. it is high possible to lose power if you have any interruptions in size fitment like big to small to big etc.

I have megan resonated test pipes and a custom true dual greddy evo 2 that has all the bottlenecks removed and car pulls really hard. I felt this mod more than a plenum spacer...and plenum spacers get great reviews on here for bang for the buck.

haha....even I didn't even notice that much more gain....just more sound lol and nuisance ....(mind over matter I guess.....maybe only a little at my top end...but now it bogs more at low end)
i just want a cleaner sound without having to remove them
