stock lol. Just get a better fmu and a tune. the stock injectors max out about at 440hp. money is much better spent else where on the engine. One of the biggest misconceptions out there for FI is that you need to throw the biggest injectors you can find on with added boost.

But that is max duty cycle. I would pick up a set of used RC440's from someone on here for peace of mind. It's never a good idea to run your injectors that hard.

^ +1 it is the duty cycle that causes the need for bigger injectors

Just because someone tells you to get bigger injectors , doesnt mean you should run out and get them .

My suggestion would be to get the 3.12 pulley tuned and see where you are at . The Vortech system increases fuel preasure the higher boost is . So even with the boost being at 9 or 10psi , you may not even be close to maxing out the duty cycle of the injector . The fuel preasure will be much higher but it is only at that preasure for short periods at a time . So the stress the injector goes thru is less than what people think it is .

And YES....some shops will try to over sell upgrades that you can get by with out

Running a stock injector, with 120psi fuel pressure, at 100% duty cycle...to achieve 400whp, can overheat an injector, and cause it to stick. It takes a lot of energy to close an injector, when its fighting 120psi pressure, instead of the 50psi range its designed for. It's considered an unreliable strategy. Sure...its done by some...but that doesnt make it correct or proper.

Upgrade to a slightly larger injector, drop in a walbro pump (properly installed to maintain 52psi fuel pressure)....and try to keep your duty cycles in the 80%-90% range max. Cheap, safe, and effective.
