Hey guys,

I have a 2004 G35X sedan and the "Service Engine Soon" solid light came on. The manual says it's an emissions control malfunction, can anybody provide any further details??

I don't have a device to read the code, are there any general suggestions or are there too many possible problems? The light came on right after I had the car repainted (on all four doors and the back end). Would it be possible that they painted over or damaged a sensor or possibly disconnected some wiring during the painting process?? Thanks.

 

The might now have hooked a sensor that would relate to the engine managment system. You can go to autozone have them hoop up there scan tool to get the code, do that and then let us know and we can go from there!
