Despite all the drawbacks, I want to RAISE my G35S idle to approx. 1050 rpm. Infinity says it can't be done. Anyone know a way?

Thanks

install a mechanical throttle body, run the cable to the gas pedal and tighten it till the rpm's read 1050rpm

it can be raised using osiris data package. Base timing can also be adjusted.

a waste of gas IMO and the navi would be pointless and super cost unefficient. lol if that even makes sense but its your car do what ever

I think the word you're looking for is inefficient.

Why exactly do you want it raised that high? Not unless you have aftermarket cams that need such a high idle, I would say 850-900 RPM idle is perfectly fine.

After my breathing mods, I raised my idle via Cipher to 850 and it worked out perfectly. (I had a rough idle after a numbe of NA breathing mods).

Yep. What else can we expect from Dealerships.

Raising the idle by a few hundred RPM's is wasting gas? That's news to me

extra load on the engine, stop and go traffic more wear and tear, fan will operate more often. I see absolutely no benefit of raising the rev limiter so high.

And ya it is infiniti not infninty.

You guys are so silly. I raised my idle limit to 6200rpms. No problems yet.

Rough crowd.

I'm assuming this is a VQ35HR? Cipher can't do anything on them, not sure if Osiris can. It's a Consult III for HRs and up now.
