D to Tiptronic Rev differences!?

Hey everyone-

Now this probably has something to do with my 3300 stall TQ converter of upgraded VB, but it doesn't add up.

If im going 45mph in 5th in tiptronic... then I slap it over to D-- I'll drop 250~ RPMS

How is that even possible.

But it wont do it if I'm going 60something +

/shrug?

all i can think is that maybe your engine is giving you crap because it's mad that your transmission doesnt have a 6th gear and a clutch pedal?

other than that, i have no idea

Despite the complete lack of help that comment was- I think my next big mod will be a AT / MT converstion- just gotta figure out what tranny to buy... or how much the stock 6 speed can hold.

I think a stick will be much easier to get a 10 second slip on a full trim car.. but we'll see.

I know- I just got one shot at this lol and I wanna make sure I've got everything going for me- I think I'll be better off with a 5AT though.

I like to say things- then see what other people say about it. just to kinda bounce off ideas
