Can you, yes. Can you safely, not really. The stock red line in a DE is 6700 I beleive, 7000 would be pushing the limit. Get a reflash or a piggyback system for a tune and that should be able to increase it. It isn't a very good idea though.

I though the reflash just raised your Rev limiter, not necissarily your redline.

I think raising the actual redline of your engine may take some engine work. Don't quote me on that.

if you raised your rev limiter wont that increase your speed thus increasing the redline?

dunno just a question

You will need to take apart your dash assembly and paint the "red lines" yellow...or whatever color you like.

No but really, look at a dyno graph. HP and torque begin to drop off at a certain RPM. I would search for one but the damn advertisement is covering up the search bar (new thread on that one shortly). You can't raise your "Redline" but you CAN remove the rev limiter.

https://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-d...o-numbers.html

Here's an example, his hp starts falling at around 6250 RPM and I believe the "REDLINE" is 6500 RPM on the 03's.

https://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-d...o-results.html

Here's on showing his power dropping off at 6k RPM.

Hmmm yah same with my dyno.

https://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-d...utomotive.html

Starts dropping around 62-6300

Redline on my DE is I believe 6600. Could be 6500. Ha...i guess I should know these things.

If you want to raise the useable RPM range you are going to have to get upgraded cams, head work, valvetrain work....pretty much rebuild the engine.

Get uprev and have them bump up the redline... Don't know what your setups are... But if you have simple Bolt-ons.. Invest your money on the Uprev and get the redline bumped up a little.. If you don't have FI.... No use of getting high redline because you will not see any usable HP.... Also, high revving is not good for your engine anyway... Higher revving equals reduced life span....
