no low end torque!
I've been playing with the car, trying to see what it can do! noticed that the low end speeds are not all that good. I got the pop charger, z tube, u/r pulley and 3.5" y pipe. can't seem to make the tires bark...i do have the vdc off. I've tried using the manual shift and same results. i've also reset the ecu... any pointers would be appreciated....

3.5" Y pipe?! Doesn't that seem a little big? For a NA engine, unless you're producing gobs of power, 2.5" or so should be ideal.
You don't often find pipes larger than 3" for turbo cars!
That would certainly rob you of some low-end TQ, even with the back-pressure of stock pipes and cats. But as was mentioned above, I'm sure your top-end HP is higher.

Brake until about 2000-2200, that should do the trick. I did that on a 55 degree day on asphalt county road and I spun em. It also cost me .5 seconds on the 1/4 mile, wear on my tires and wear on my tranny. I got much better times with VDC on.

The power curve of the G35 doesn't get going till over 3000 rpms! With an aftermarket torque converter you could be in the powerband a lot sooner. Another option is changing to lower rear gears(numerically higher) in the differential.

3" exhaust pipe for an NA engine is still a little big, IMO. Like I said, 3" is typical for turbos, where there's no such thing as going too big. I'm not sure how much of a loss that would translate to on the low-end.
I'm not sure what the industry standard is on exhaust for the G35 right now. Could be everyone is making larger diameters so that the same system will work on a turbosharged G, but that would likely be at the sacrifice of a serious low-end loss on the stock G.
After hearing the diameters of most of the aftermarket exhausts, that should answer your question. Maybe others will let you know what size they're running or you could check with the different aftermarket companies to see what size they're using.

Anyway, to the topic...3" is absurdly much for an N/A car. There is absolutely such a thing as too big an exaust for an N/a car. You need to maintain gas velocity to keep your low end. Of course your top end is very strong, but how much of a sacrifice are you trying to make...
I noticed a huge drop in my low end performance after installing the RT cats...
