Exclamation Hard Clunk and High RPM ?

So today after work, i turn the car on, and i notice i higher engine noise than before, and i look at the Speedometer and its idling at 1K rpms and a little higher? Is that normal, i dont think so. And when i shifted into Reverse or Drive, the car had a hard clunk feeling when shifting ??? so whats up

thanks

Were you parked on a hill or a flat level surface?

flat level surface, i just turned it on, and i heard it louder than normal, and was idling at 1000 plus RPM, then shifted into Reverse, and i felt the car jerk or drop a bit, but the second time i turned it on , it didnt do it anymore ??

If you can replicate it, then someone (including us) can diagnose it. Until then, keep driving unless you get a check light or something.
