Well.. i m glad to hear that I m not alone on this one.. I've recently changed both belts and I had the belt tighten to the point where you can push or pull the belt more than 1/2 inch.. and yes.. i do have mods.. but don't think that is the problem.. i still have some noise at cold start.. but my mechanic told me to bring it back to him after a tank of gas.. so about 200 miles.. to have it tighten again.. and i should be good.. and if anyone EVER SUGGEST you to put BELT CONDITIONER!! DO NOT PUT THEM ON!!...
it will not work AT ALL.. Belt Conditioner is never a solution to ANY belt problem.. its a quick fix if you are getting rid of your car tomorrow... but its guarantee to come back..
how do i know?? cos it happened to me..

I checked on ebay.com Riverside INFINITI has ALTERNATOR and COMPRESSOR IDLER PULLEY but the pictures look wrong and there is no part number. If your are close to them you can go check it out.

When I bought my car it had aftermarket belts. It was making noise at cold start so I changed them (aftermarket again) then noise was still there so i thought it was something else. I ended up changing the alt. Idler pulley noise was still there. So I got the factory and installed them myself.

The weird thing is my AC belt is also aftermarket and no sound from that

IDK I am happy its fixed NOW! I drive happy now

when I got them from a auto part store they had 2 different ones for some reason. I bought both of them. the size on one of them was a bit bigger and it had vertical and horizontal cut on it. the other just horizontal. so my uncle said use the shorter one. I think it was like $16 (shorter) and the other $25 (bit longer). So I installed the shoter one. It might have been cuz of that.
If u have that noise get the factory belt I bought it for $24.?? and installed them myself.
