Is royal purple the most superior oil out there?

Hey guys i have heard RP increases performance if you are a aggressive driver. I just wanted opinions on how RP is and do people use it?. If you guys dont use it, what type of oil would you recommend for performace. RP is pretty exp. so i want to research on it first.

Best oils: Amsoil, Motul, Castrol German
Next Best: Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Pennzoil Platinum

Check bobistheoilguy.com, there's a lot of good information on there.

Royal Purple is way down on the list. It has high wear numbers from all the tests. It is not recommended and don't fall into the marketing BS.

Best oils from top to bottom:

Amsoil
Redline
Motul
Penzoil Platinum
M1
RP

Funny thread, everyone has an opinion. Personally I doubt if you can
do much better than Mobil 1. It's even avalilable at Wall Mart, I found out Costco sells it with Mobil 1 filter for $24.99....that's a great deal! I use
Red Line synthetic 10W/30 cause I live in a warm climate, and it's high quality oil! Pennzoil anythng, I wouldn't use it in my lawnmower!!
My opinion....lol

It's been proven Mobil 1 is not the best oil out there, I'm just going by the information available. I don't have an "opinion" of any oils except maybe not buying Valucraft.

Search? There is a sticky about oil analysis in the drivetrain section.

In general, TX's list is fairly accurate. FOR THE PRICE RP isn't worth it.
