Is it possible to short belt VQ around PS pump?

My ps pump siezed yesterday snapping the belt on my car. Is there any way to short belt around the pump so I can drive my car till I get a new pump? If so what size belt?

I am sure you can but as far a size you would have to measure it with string

I have been for the past 2 months with no problems. My dp melted a line dumping all the fluid out..and its been running dry since then and it finally started squeeling the other night, i smelled the rubber then all the lights came on and my volts guage was at 12 indicating it wasnt spinning anymore.

Why not replace the line and get PS back?

As for your question, I would think you could get a shorter belt and bypass the PS pump. Just get some string and measure the path you are looking for and see if a local parts store has one in that size.
