Engine Start - RPM drop
you can clean the mass air flow sensor all day and the idle is not going to be fixed,a simple procdedure called an idle air volume relearn needs to be performed this will take care of your problem
I am having a similar issue, here is my deal...
My car starts up, and then the RPM's drop/sputter and almost die if I don't give it some gas. The funny thing is, its not a constant issue. Its only happened twice in 3 months. Although it si doing it more frequently now...
Friday - Car started and almost stalled. Gave it some gas and the RPM's corrected itself. The car drove fine the rest of the evening
Saturday - Started/drove the car. No issues.
Sunday - Started, no issues. Drove the car then was running in park waiting to pick up someone and the idle was dropping twice, but corrected. Car did feel kinda sluggish on the way back home (could be my paranoia though)
Monday - Inspected my engine. No vaccuum leaks. Although, it looks like my TB butterfly valve is not correctly centered (its at an angle, shouldn't it be verticle?). Turned on the car, started okay, but quickly, RPM's were dropping. but stabilized at 1100 RPM's (which is low for a cold start-up). When I turned off the car, I heard a soft clicking noise from the back of the engine, presumabley the TB.
Theory - my TB is shot. Which I hope not. Any other thoughts?

how many miles? Have you changed your PCV valve ever?
TB butterfly valve doesn't sit perfectly up/down.
TB should click 3 or 4 times after you turn off the car. its the valve adjusting itself.
with the stillen intake...did you recently oil it? have you done any mods recently? I've see the vacuum tube on the back of the z-tube not connected before simply out of forgetting.

Yeah, after I watched the cleaning the TB video, iI noticed that too. My bad. Thanks for the info on the clicking.
I actually have an Injen now. It was installed in September of 09. I cleaned the MAF and did the pedal reset when I installed that one.
Ah, that's good to know. Yeah, not throwing a code. I think I jsut need to clean the TB and see what happens, but from what I read it seems to do the trick.

I cleaned the TB/MAF last night and the idle seemed a lot better. Although there was some minor RPM drop and correction while it first started up.
I picked up some fuel injector cleaner and will throw some in next time I fill up. Hopefully that will take care of things. What about the PCV valve though?

PCV valve can cause "vacuum drop" which leads to low idle. If your problems persists that is the next thing i would change. Easy to do, and like $12 at the dealership when I did it a few months back.
Some people have had consistent issues with this and come to find out later they get an engine code and need to replace cam position sensors.

So, here's an update...
The car was doing okay for awhile, but now its seems a little rough and the car is idling high (750-800 RPM) while I wait at a stop light and at one point, the car died on me. I cleaned the TB but I did not replace the PCV Valve. Any ideas?
One more thing to mention... a few weeks ago, my car threw a code. I got the code pulled and one of my HFC's is shot. They cleared the code, but I wonder if the sensor is still detecting something is off and the car is acting funny as a result. I am getting non-foulers installed this weekend.
