Dangerous JWT Pop-Charger

Warning!!!

stop using TWT pop-charger!!! According to the research, although it really increase around 5 hp, it sacrifices the engine's life time.

the gaps of the filter are so big (.05mm), it won't filter any micro-particles. It is extremely bad for the engine.
if you don't believe me, just get off your pop-charger and wash it. Afterwards look under the light from inside the pop-charger.
you will find out what's true!!!

No filter will catch all particles. See the link below for more info.

Re: Dangerous JWT Pop-Charger

Most people don't care if their engine has as new compression after 150,000 miles......top ring wear..

After all, at 60 mph cruise the engine only injest 2,000,000 cubic feet of air in 60,000 miles.
Typical Atmospheric Dust 0.001 to 30 microns

Re: Dangerous JWT Pop-Charger

But most poeple who installed pop-charger won't just cruise at 60mph.
as the velocity of air increases, the filtration gets worse.

Re: Dangerous JWT Pop-Charger

PlatG: That was a very interesting article and very informative. Kinda confirms my belief that the stock Nissan paper filter is already doing a very good job filtering and flows well. Going to something like a CAI or WAI may give better air flow but the gains aren't enough in my opinion for a relatively stock N/A car. Now going FI would definitely be a different story.

Just ignore "captain ignoramus." He obviously does his research in Mad Magazine.

Re: Dangerous JWT Pop-Charger

If you want any kind of credibility, cite your source. I've been running oil/cotton filters for 10 years and have racked up 100,000 on one vechicle that runs like a top. With this type of filter the hole size matters less because of the method of sediment attraction which actually filters better the dirtier it gets, up to a point of diminishing return.

Your right, calling everybody retarded, then giving the same point of view as the people you called retarded is much better.
