+1 someone had made some progress with different options, but there hasnt been a definite answer yet. Turns out that he had a bigger issue with his motor.

I must have missed something....

Why would you want or need a pump?

I am well aware of why pumps might be needed on blown, turbo, stroker or ultra high compression engine (think 13 or 14 to 1)...

Are people having crankcase pressurization issues with the VQ?

Right. I understand that. My question was other than blown or turbo VQ engines, are people thinking that a vacuum pump system is going to add power to a NA VQ?

I hope not- I hate to see anyone waste money.

I am having major crankcase ventilation issues...if i pull my oil cap or dipstick a minute after i shut off the car, there is a vacuum holding it in, and it hisses at me when removed

This is my second engine, has 22k on it, and is bone stock except for a Z tube and JWT oil pan spacer just cause i don't trust it

The fleet of BMW's i owned before this thing never had engine problems. VQ = MAJOR FAIL

Check your PCV valve and/or vacuum hoses for kinks. The issue you're having is an easy one to fix.

NA motors do not generate vacuum under full throttle. I don't see how a vacuum pump would help anything.
