fuel filter? differential lubricant?

i was wondering if anyone knows how to get their hands on a replacement fuel filter for an '03 g35 sedan. i've looked around and i couldn't find anything. also, i can't find information on what lube to use when replacing the rear differential lubricant and if there is some type of additive you are supposed to put in the lube, like limited slip lube. thanks.

use gl-5 fluid in the diff. you can also use an approved friction modifier. check your owner's manual. it specs the fluid required.

the manual also states the fuel filter as a non-serviceable maintenance item. i suppose if you are high-mileage you could replace it as a preventative measure. but unless you are noticing hesitation or other symptoms of a clogged fuel filter i wouldn't bother swapping it. again, check with the manual.

The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump in the G, so you either replace the whole thing, or you dont do it at all.

Rear diff fluid is GL-5 and you shouldnt need a friction modifier as GL-5 is made for limited-slip applications last time i checked. Just read the fine print on the bottle and make sure it says approved for limited-slip differentials with no modifiers.

You can get a fuel filter from the dealer. Grant is right, it's part of the fuel pump assembly and takes some time to swap. I did mine a while back when I put in a different pump. I use redline in my diff, 75w90.

For your diff you could also use Amsoil SEVERE GEAR® Synthetic 75W-90

sweet! the filter is a part of the pump! what other ways will dealers find out how to make it harder to maintain your car yourself? i thought it would be ok to use 75w90 synth. that's what i put in my '00 t/a diff. thanks for the help. i'm probably gonna have someone else change my wife's fuel filter.
