Re: weird noise from Engine
Well I don't know if it's the same clicking noise but I hear some type of clicking noise and thought it was wierd but when I got a loaner from dealer, FX, it's engine had the same clicking noise so it's normal.
Re: weird noise from Engine
If the car is brand new its probably normal...May have something to do with the AC, do you hear it after you shut the car down...Because most new cars make a small clicking noise after they've been turned off...If its bothering you have the dealership check it out..
Re: weird noise from Engine
also open hood and see if the aux fan is coming on.

Re: weird noise from Engine
NO AC is On... I know after when i turn off the engine, its normal to hear little click noise... But when i'm just staying in neutral, or parked with ignitions On, it feels like something is jumping(just one click sound, then continues on every 5 seconds)..... Maybe i better take it to the dealership... sigh!!

Re: weird noise from Engine
Argg i have the same problem. When i put my car in neutral or park, i hear a clicking sound. It comes every 3 or 4 seconds. Its very annoying. My car has 1k miles, so its pretty new. I hope this is normal and will go away soon. Seems like a few people are having this same problem. Any input regarding this would be GREATLY appreciated. Its f'ing annoying!

I read somewhere that the noise is the timing chain spinning. It usually makes more noise when the engine is cold, something i've noticed. Older cars came with timing belts which were made of rubber, so they didnt make the clank clank noise as the turned. Just my opinion tho, not exactly sure if thats all correct.
Maybe you should also check your oil, if that becomes low the engine will make excessive noise as well.
