I just recently got my 06 coupe it does have a 6spd and when i turn it on it says "rev" between speedo and tach and it has blinking red light under it. then when car warms up and rpms drop to 1k or less it stops blinkin but rev light is always on....what does this mean?

 

It's your rev light.
You can set it at a rpm you like and it reminds you when to shift.

 

so can i take it off? will it always say "rev"? how do you set it up? thanks for any more info.

i would have read the manual if i had one...

 

push the trip meter reset until you get to the rev mode then hold it there until it blinks then press and depress until you get to your desired rev limit, say 6800 if you like there, then let it blink until it stops then you are set. push the lever down to go back to your trip meter.

 

does the 05 have the rev limiter light.. i see the spot right under the REV light where it would be... but my doesnt come on

 

auto or manual... i don't know if it matters but gas it pass say 6600 rpm in neutral or in park and see if it will go on.... best way to check is push the trip meter stick in until you get passed the trip meters and that will be when it comes on. yours my be set high.

 

mines is manual.. i've never seen it flash at all in my car.. but i see the little box under the REV like its there.. and i dont have the manual for my car... so i cant really read to see if it has it
