im gonna install my SC setup soon, so i wanted a baseline so i could see what gains i get. im AWD, so the only place i could find out here that has an AWD dyno charges $65 for 2 runs, 10 bucks for each additional run, or like 120 for an hour. (they charge 55 for 2 2wd pulls)

then its not some CA magic that makes 3rd gear result in higher numbers...

I frequent other sites... the only one you list that I am on is my350Z - I dont ever remember seeing dynos posted in each gear... in fact, I'm the only one I know of that has ever even posted 3rd gear and 4th gear back-to-back dynos.

Huh? The lower the gear, the more friction. More teeth, more drag.

https://g35driver.com/forums/tuner-d...hr-videos.html

Trey saw about 4whp/7wtq between running in 4th and 5th in BOTH his 05 sedan and his 07 sedan. Same day.

That's very much what I've seen with most every car I've witnessed that's tried this test.

but you stated 3rd only shows higher numbers on dynapack... if your statement above affected the numbers, then why would dynapack be any different?

same day, same car, same dyno, same everything other than 3rd vs 4th gear... notice its a much grater difference than you posted from Trey MT

BTW, this is almost 4 yrs ago, so not what my car does today

3rd gear

4th gear

Explain why a roller dyno would be any different.

Why would an automatic dyno differently than a manual? Your case is a rarity. Maybe

I didn't say that. I said on Dynojets you'll typically see higher numbers with taller gears. As for why it might be different on a Dynapak, the answer is easy. A Dynapak is a brake dyno. Adjust the brake and load and you can skew the numbers.

skew the numbers

Anyway, I've dynod on 2 different roller dynos (1 of them 2 different times) and 2 diffent dynapacks (one of them 30 pulls and the other multipe different times, many many pulls)... I guess it was all just a fluke.
