OUCH. 
Yeah by the time you get headers and the cams you're looking at ~$2000 in parts alone, might as well throw down another $3000 or so and built it right the first time... that is my eventual goal. Might as well save some money and down-time by cutting out the extra install!

If you wanna play you gotta pay...
personally i dont think a reflash is worth the buck if u dont have no internals done, oh and also look into boring out ur throttle body.. rick from status but now VIP said that did great results for his 350z.
I have no idea why you would think that - but it isnt true.
If cost is your worry, my shop didn't charge me extra to install headers with cats.
Your going to sound so ricey though if you open up the exhaust that much.
I did ^_^. But I made 280 rwhp on my N/A set up (2004 5AT)
