Mod Shop in Miami?

Well just looking for a trusted shop in the Miami area, to do modifications to my car. Anyone have someone they've used or would recommend? If so, should I purchase the parts before hand or order them through the shop?

Or would going through the dealership for intake and exhaust mod's be a bad idea?

Thanks in advanced,
-BM

Re: Mod Shop in Miami?

Good stuff, thanks Esemes..

I guess the z-tube, and pop charger are pretty simple to install. As far as the exhaust, and plenum ? I'm not sure.

The supercharger isn't going in till a bit later, but I'm pretty sure that'll void my waranty. I know intake and exhaust doesn't, so those are pretty safe.

Thanks again,
-BM

blackmag-

it certainly does NOT void the warranty; my dealership installed mine, with 903 miles on the car.......

believe me, i wouldnt risk losing the warranty ........

now, some items will be under different consideration, but that is something to discuss personally with the service director....

try your local dealer and see if they are willing to help, or if they have a performance division/department where you can get parts, upgrades, info, etc....

my dealer just started their performance sector, with me being the first 'major' upgrade (many exhausts and intakes already done, but none quite to my extent)

Wow good news.. I wonder how good they'd be at tuning, will talk to them when I go into service in about 3 weeks.

What dealers are you guys talking about. I bought mine at South Motors Infiniti and they sell some aftermarket parts, but how comparable are the prices for installation.

Re: Mod Shop in Miami?

Yeah I got my G at South Motors as well, but esemes is talking about a dealer in Clearwater, (near tampa). I went in for a 1000mile inspection, and was talking to the service manager and he says they do intake and exhaust mods, but I didn't ask about the prices. He said call in before hand setup an appointment and they'll do the mods, but I think you might have to order the parts for them.

What I've been reading I think I could do the intake mod solo, with out to much risk of messing something up.

Re: Mod Shop in Miami?

i talked to steve from south motors about mods. he told me that it would cost about $100 to get an exhaust installed depending on which one it is. i proceeded to go to another place after i heard that installation quote.

Re: Mod Shop in Miami?

I put on my Z Tube,Pop Charger and Crawford V5 Plenum. Infiniti South in Miami put on my Crawford cats with the Borla which I bought from them. Believe I paid $900 for the Borla installed (cats included). Talk to Steve in service. He's done some underdrive pulleys on G's and would really like to do a Vortech for someone.
