Plenum Spacer question (sedan and coupe)

Jasonp32 and myself are going to be making an order for some plenum spacers in the next few days but were unsure of what to get.

I drive an 03 sedan (5at) and I plan to go with a 1/2" spacer, not thermal since I drive a tuck for winter. not worried about the cold. I want the half inch because it's said to give it more growl, and I dig growl

Jason drives an 04 coupe (5at) and he is thinking 5/16" with the thermal because I think he drives his in the winter.

What would be the best way to go for both cars?

i think for cold weather you want the copper iso thermal (the coupe)

the 5/16" is probably the best bet for both of you but i doubt the 1/2" will make that big of a difference

I was thinking of going with copper due to winter driving. The 5/16 is appealing to me because I get the feeling it's more suitable for a non-rev up. Isn't the 5/16 better for mid-range rpms, while the 1/2" doesn't really start working for you until higher rpms?

A couple other things about the half inch:
Will it interfere with a possible strut bar?
Can you get the engine cover back on?

It won't interfere with a strut bar, but you can't fit the cover back on.

as far as growl you wont tell them apart, atleast i couldn't.. 5/16 is the way to go iso termal if you live anywhere where the temp never goes under 55 often and copper if its usually under that.. your going to be happy with the performance gains and the sound

I am pretty sure the 5/16" is more power all throughout the RPM's and the 1/2" is for more power in the high RPM's...

InTgr8r and myself just installed the 1/2" spacer on my sedan three days ago. I had no issues getting the cover back on.
