Aluminium Pedals worth Getting?

Re: Aluminium Pedals worth Getting?
I would say go for the alum. pedals. I had the stock rubber ones on for several weeks, and [as noted above] they pretty much blended away and out of sight. But I put on the alum. ones, and now the pedals stand out and add to the interior aesthetics. Several people noticed the change immediately and commented that it looked great.

www.EverythingG35.com -- $73.50 for the Infiniti factory OEM drilled alum. pedal set (incl. e-brake pedal which you have glue or drill on). They're easy to install; just remember to soak the new brake pedal in very hot water for 5 min. before putting on...it helps!
Also, if you have an annoying clicking noise every time you put your foot on/off the new alum. gas pedal (it's b/c it has some play at the top and when you tap it with you foot, it clanks up against the metal rod it's attached to), just add a small piece of felt (w/ sticky backing) in the middle of the top clip and reattach...that should tighten it up and prevent any metal-metal touching and the clicking noise.
After having the alum. pedals in our '03 FX35, I knew I had to have them in my new G35...they look good!

Re: Aluminium Pedals worth Getting?
Everyone seems to be mentioning only a cosmetic usefulness of the AP's, but here is a actual purpose maybe. When it's raining out, and my shoes get wet, everytime I shift, I get this annoying sqeek. It drives me nuts!! You folks with the pedals notice any noise from wet soles?
Bare with me guys, I'm trying to justify the purchase. Digging deep!! j/k, i'll end up getting them sometime soon anyway :-)

The pedals I have from Grubbs Infiniti have raised rubber poking out
of the drilled holes. When your shoes are wet, they grab the pedals
great, no slippage and no squeeking either. Just don't tell the wife
you are ordering them, I didn't. I never tell the wife what I am doing
to my G. It's none of her business! The only justification you need is
that they look way cool and are pratical! hehe

Re: Aluminium Pedals worth Getting?
I'm with you brother. My wife doesn't need to know what I'm doing with my car. I just sold my Audi A4 to get the G. The Audi was debadged, chipped, lowered, rims, etc. I didn't run any of that past her before doing it.
Can I assume there won't be any gluing needed for 6MT pedals (since there's no e-brake pedal)?
