Why is there a raspy metal on metal like sound when revving engine cold?

Word. I still would be hesistant to rev the car past 3000 rpms until its fully warm. I dont take mine past 2500 unless the car is at full operating temp.

Yeah, it's a good rule of thumb. I was just listenin to the engine to check for any noises and what not.

It's an infiniti, not some 1980 ford.

I'm sure its the heatshields/piping, as stated earlier.
